Balloons and Dirigibles

Flying has always been among the dreams of human beings and many postcards were published on this subject showing balloons or dirigibles. Preparation of the fly including the steps to inflate the balloon are usually followed by a large crowd in a field or sometimes in the city center in a large square.

There were also sometimes races gathering a dozen of balloons, including races such as the Gordon Benett's balloons race.
